The Chris Norton Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people living with spinal cord injuries and mobility disabilities, and the families beside them, experience connection, independence, and hope. Through Ignite Family Wheelchair Camp and support for equipment and therapies, we help create opportunities to participate, build relationships, and pursue what matters most to each person.
TURNING ADVERSITY
INTO PURPOSE.
After a spinal cord injury during a college football game changed the course of his life, Chris Norton set out to help others see what is possible in their own lives. Today, he is a speaker, bestselling author, devoted dad, and founder of the Chris Norton Foundation.
Chris reminds us that asking for help is a sign of strength, that progress can take many forms, and that no one should have to face a life-changing challenge alone. His determination inspires us, but so does his willingness to lean on others and keep showing up for the people around him.
Chris’s story is part of our beginning. The heart of the Foundation is the people and families who bring this community to life. We carry those lessons into our work: welcoming every family, making room for everyone to participate, and creating opportunities to discover what’s possible together.

IGNITE FAMILY WHEELCHAIR CAMP
Ignite is our flagship program: a family camp designed for people living with spinal cord injuries and mobility disabilities and the families beside them. Campers try new adventures, siblings share in the fun, and parents connect with others who understand. Together, families build friendships and memories that last beyond camp.
Lodging, meals, and camp activities are provided at no cost to families.
SUPPORT BEYOND CAMP
Our work also includes grants supporting access to equipment and therapies. These resources can help create opportunities for greater independence and participation in everyday life.
